Alyssa Guckin is Owner & Founder of Passyunk Pilates, an endeavor that marries her lifelong passion for movement with her love for the vibrant Passyunk Square neighborhood—a place admired for its rich community spirit. Certified through both Ellie Herman and Balanced Body programs, Alyssa has been teaching pilates since February 2023, and group fitness classes, like Yoga Sculpt, since March 2022. Known for her friendly, approachable style, Alyssa believes every visit to the studio should be personal and accessible, because to her, Pilates is so much more than an item to check off your to‑do list—it’s a journey from the inside out. There’s always a modification, an adjustment - and Alyssa teaches it that way.

Favorite exercise: Never fail to fire up the core and flex the spine.

Mary

Mary completed her 200-hour YTT and Pilates training through The Pilates Standard this year. Growing up a dancer, Mary has always enjoyed movement! During the day, Mary works as a pediatric registered dietitian. You can expect her classes to be fiery and mindful - paired with a great playlist.

Favorite exercise: Series of 5, I love how strong I feel after!

Certified through Ellie Herman’s Comprehensive teacher training program in 2025, Sonia teaches with a focus on accessibility, joy, and embodied presence. Their classes blend classical structure with modern flow, emphasizing functional movement and personal growth.

Favorite exercise: The roll up- it's a beautiful way to measure strength and celebrate progress in real time.

Olivia

Olivia

Olivia began practicing Pilates in 2015 and completed her 500-Hour Comprehensive Teacher Training in 2024. Her teaching blends classical technique with studio-tested creativity, resulting in funky, athletic flows that leave clients feeling empowered, grounded, and strong. Expect energy, encouragement, and one killer lunge series in every class.

Favorite exercise: A spicy lunge series that leaves no muscle untouched.

Colette

Colette

An ERYT-500 yoga teacher and ACE-certified personal trainer, Colette brings two decades and over 20,000 hours of movement experience to her classes. She is currently completing her Comprehensive Pilates certification with Ellie Herman, training across mat, springboard, reformer, and other apparatus. Her sessions are interactive, collaborative, and always infused with creative energy.

Favorite exercise: All the push-ups and planks your upper body can handle.

Melissa

Melissa

Melissa’s movement journey began through ballet and cheer, eventually leading her to Pilates. Certified in mat and reformer (2020–2021), and most recently completing Body Precision’s 654-hour Comprehensive Certification in 2025, she also holds credentials from Peak Pilates and Ellie Herman’s Springboard program. Melissa teaches with warmth and clarity, encouraging strength, balance, and body awareness.

Favorite exercise: Side kick series, mermaid, and everything in between.

Haileigh

Haileigh completed her Inferno Hot Pilates certification under Gabi Walters in February 2025, bringing her passion for movement from Scranton to the city. As an elementary teacher turned fitness instructor, she naturally blends education and energy in every class. At Passyunk, her Pilates circuit classes fuse precise movements with fiery cardio bursts to challenge every muscle.

Favorite exercise: Planks that test your endurance and cardio bursts that leave you breathless (in the best way).

Tori

Tori

Tori began teaching Pilates in 2022, drawing on her background in dance and ongoing yoga teacher training. Her teaching is intuitive and adaptive, rooted in a deep respect for all bodies and a commitment to responsive instruction. Tori’s flows are creative, thoughtful, and designed to cultivate presence, mobility, and full-body strength. Her approach reflects a lifelong connection to movement as a form of self-expression and empowerment.

Favorite exercise: Plank or swan, to light up the entire body.

Hannah

Hannah

A lifelong mover with a background in competitive cheerleading, I first fell in love with mindful movement through Barre3 in 2014. Pilates found me in 2022, and I’ve been deepening my practice ever since. I‘ve been training under the legendary Ellie Herman since September 2024. My classes are where precision meets presence: rooted in tradition, powered by playlists, and always tuned in to the energy in the room.

Favorite exercise: Anything that sculpts the abs, burns out the arms, and leads to that signature post-class glow.
